Michael Jackson merchandise

LA Times
Before launching his world tour, Michael Jackson developed merchandise which he planned to sell in conjunction with his "This Is It" concert series at London's O2 Arena. The merchandise included diverse items like a varsity jacket, a red handbag with a diagonal black stripe that evoked his costumes from the "Thriller" music video, a sleeping mask printed with a photo of his eyes, and even a tea set!

The collection will go on sale this week at such retailers as Hot Topic, Target, JCPenney and Spencer's, to cash in on Michael Jackson's red-hot popularity right now. The total merchandise numbers more than 300 items, including jigsaw puzzles and games for children and rhinestone dog tags. Universal Music Group developed the merchandise for Michael Jackson and now owns all the rights to its sale.
